Job summary

Intermountain Health in Sandy, Utah seeks a Phlebotomist I to collect and handle specimens for diagnostic testing, maintaining compliance with lab standards and patient engagement.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00–18:30, with a rotating Saturday about once a month. The role may require on-call shifts and holiday rotations, with hourly pay of $18.94–$24.62 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum six months of phlebotomy experience, training or cert approved by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Adhere to safety regulations and PPE requirements.
• Communicate procedures with patients and families, demonstrating empathy.
• Take on-call shifts and participate in holiday rotations.
• Support patient registration and participate in CODE response teams.
• Train and mentor new staff.
