Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our Utah clinics, including American Fork Specialty Clinic, Central Orem Clinic, Rose Canyon Clinic, Lehi Clinic, and Saratoga Springs ED.

This full-time role features 8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri, 7 or 9 am starts) with a $1,750 sign-on bonus and float to North Utah County clinics, providing patient specimen collection across outpatient, ED and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• BLS Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Preferred
• Six months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor. Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomist I is responsible for accurately collecting patient specimens for diagnostic testing while working in a professional medical environment.
• The Phlebotomist I performs specimen collection using venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections across Outpatient, ED, and Inpatient settings.
• Adherence to personal protective requirements in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, including gowns, gloves, lab coats, face shields, and masks.
• Communicates procedures and instructions with patients and families with empathy; participates in growth activities such as training, specimen processing, and special projects.
