Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I for a part‑time role in Middle Village, NY (Mon–Fri, 11:30 AM–3:30 PM). The position offers pay in the range of $24.00–$24.50 per hour and includes eligibility for annual bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and handling specimens per procedures, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance. Benefits and team support are highlighted as part of this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab tech systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
