Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I for Swedish Hospital Chicago. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday, 5am–9am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

The Phlebotomist I will perform serum and specimen collection, document tests in LIS/HIS, and assist in general lab processing while ensuring patient safety and accurate labeling. The position requires a diploma or vocational degree, phlebotomy training, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Vocational Degree required; High School Diploma acceptable.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
• CPR BLS certification required.
• Outgoing, compassionate personality with good communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Manager/Director.
• Order tests into the Laboratory and Hospital LIS/HIS systems and document receipt of specimens.
• Include minor processing of laboratory specimens and proper wristband procedures for inpatients.
• Collect blood samples ensuring adequate volume and correct tubes are used.
