Position Details

Location: Buffalo, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-5:30pm (Rotational Weekends)

Pay Range: $18.05 - $19.95 / hour

Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
• Administer oral solutions following training
• Research test/client information, verify orders using lab technology systems, contact clients, and use approved tools
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data
• Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as required
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport)
• Perform non-patient duties (inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emails)
• Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
• Assist with data and statistics submission
• Maintain phlebotomy logs timely (maintenance, temperature logs)
• Complete training courses promptly

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA
• One year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience

The role requires effective communication in English.
