Phlebotomist I Part-Time - Cheektowaga, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:00PM-4:00PM (Rotational Weekends)

Pay Range: $18.05 - $19.95 / hour

Salary offers depend on skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens per established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions following training.
  • Research and verify test/client information using lab systems and client contact.
  • Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
  • Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as required.
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing.
  • Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with data compilation and submission.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs, including maintenance and temperature logs.
  • Complete training courses timely.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience
  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.

Must communicate effectively in English.
