Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Oceanside, CA is hiring a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and perform routine venipuncture in a fast-paced clinical lab. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. State phlebotomy license is required; NHA licenses are not accepted in CA, WA, NV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders and client information using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
