Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Ferndale, WA. The role runs Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required where applicable.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required with possible exemptions considered after offer. The position offers a pay range of $21.80 - $23.75 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred; required only in CA, NV, WA per note.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders and client information using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments as required per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory and sanitation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and mandatory records.
• Complete training courses timely.
