Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info, collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Handle non-patient duties: inventory, stock, sanitation, filing, phones, emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and daily maintenance records.
