Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Millbrae, CA, is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team. The role requires a state phlebotomy license and works Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotation every third Saturday, 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Pay is $27.00 to $29.45 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have phlebotomy certification (CA/NV/WA) and strong data-entry skills as part of daily lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately to support role.
• Obtain identification, enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
