Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team. The role runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekend coverage. State phlebotomy license is required; CA does not accept NHA licenses.

Compensation includes an hourly pay range and potential annual performance bonus. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and ensuring proper handling of specimens, along with administrative duties and training commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders and enter data in lab systems with accuracy.
• Navigate computer systems and billing processes as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
• Prepare specimens for transport and maintain cleanliness and inventory.
