Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Fullerton, CA. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Training and certification are emphasized, with emphasis on accurate data entry and customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma, medical training preferred, and phlebotomy certification preferred; certification is required in CA, NV, and WA. English communication is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments per policy.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with submission of statistics and data when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
