Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our Glenbrook Hospital team in Glenview. This full-time role encompasses a variety of phlebotomy duties, specimen collection, and coordination within our laboratory systems.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR-BLS certification, and prior phlebotomy training or experience. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills are essential for delivering quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• CPR-BLS certification for Healthcare Provider (AHA) is required; ASCP PBT certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training/experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization skills with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Order tests into Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and document receipt of specimens.
• Collect patient specimens appropriate for age and patient population.
• Ensure correct tubes and adequate blood volume for tests.
