Job summary

Mindlance is seeking a phlebotomist in Columbus, OH to assist with venipuncture, specimen processing, labeling, and transport. You will ensure accurate specimen handling and maintain patient information according to procedures.

The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. OSHA/DEP rules are followed; annual trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by the state.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol and regulate transport integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
