Title: Phlebotomist I

Duration: 2+ months

Location: 43 Main Street, Farmingdale NJ 07727

Shift: Mon, Wed, and Fri 7am-1pm, every other Saturday 7am-11am

Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in for routine health services or health decisions.
• The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• The PSR I interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.
• The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
• Under the supervisor's direction, performs daily activities accurately and timely.
• Maintains a safe and professional environment.
• Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties confidently, following established practices and procedures.
• Maintains required records and documentation, demonstrating organizational commitment and promoting a positive image.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience required; one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
