Job description

Title: Phlebotomist I

Location: NJ_HWL_4530 Route 9 South, Howell NJ 07731

Duration: 4 months

Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-12pm, every other weekend Saturday 7am-11am

Description:
  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines or providing insights into health decisions.
  • The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
  • Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately.
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
  • Performs daily activities accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor.
  • Maintains a safe and professional environment.
  • Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, adhering to established practices.
  • Maintains required records and documentation.
  • Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, Washington).
Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience required; 1+ years preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
