Job Details

Location: Pittsfield, ME - On Call

Pay Range: Minimum of $18.05+ per hour

Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, as well as market and organizational factors.

Responsibilities

1. Collect specimens following established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
2. Administer oral solutions as per training.
3. Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
4. Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
5. Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments following company policies.
6. Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport).
7. Perform non-patient duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing).
8. Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
9. Assist with data compilation and submission.
10. Maintain phlebotomy logs timely, including maintenance and temperature logs.
11. Complete training courses online and in person on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Effective communication in English.
