Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to support a healthcare facility in Mishawaka, IN. The role is a local contract with a 3+ month duration and a schedule from 8am to 5pm.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience, with responsibilities including blood draws, labeling, and specimen transport. Salary ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure accuracy by matching requisitions to specimens and properly labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare facility in Mishawaka, IN 46545.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8am-5pm
• Location: Mishawaka, IN 46545
• Job Type: local contract
• Contract Length: 3 Months+
• Pay Range: $17.00- $19.00 per hour

Pay offered is based on experience,expertise, credentialing, and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.
