Job summary

Actalent in Tulsa, OK seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract-to-hire role in a busy hospital laboratory. You will collect blood and nonblood specimens across the hospital, perform timely testing preparation, and collaborate with nurses and lab staff.

This position offers long-term development opportunities and requires high-volume venipuncture, ABG collection when needed, and strong patient care under pressure. Shifts are rotating and onsite only.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated phlebotomy experience with high volume daily blood draws (sticks).
• Proficiency in blood collection, labeling, and adherence to lab protocols.
• Experience collecting nonblood specimens (urine, sputum, throat swabs).
• Phlebotomy certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens via venipuncture and other phlebotomy techniques.
• Collect nonblood specimens (urine, sputum, throat swabs) for testing.
• Perform screening tests and report results per lab protocols.
• Prepare specimens for in-house and reference testing and proper storage.
