Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 1117 E Division St. Mount Vernon, WA 98274. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections, accurate data entry, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P).
• In lieu of state license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• 6+ months of experience as a phlebotomist (preferred).
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Overtime flexibility as needed.
• Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
