The candidate should have a phlebotomy certification and at least 5 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, plus a High School Diploma or GED. Benefits are available and schedule is M-F, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and handle specimens per procedures.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly to patients while remaining courteous.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Review and follow physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results or inquiries as needed.
