Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to support the Laboratory. You will perform venipuncture, collect and process specimens, and ensure proper LIS registration, handling samples with care in a fast-paced environment.

Training or certification in phlebotomy is required. This full-time day shift includes rotating weekends, and you will join a team dedicated to quality patient care and accurate specimen management across the Lab departments.

Qualifications

• Training and Certification in Phlebotomy or prior phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the technical and clerical aspects of the Laboratory department.
• Manage collection, acceptance, receipt and processing of all specimens into the Laboratory department(s).
• Attend to samples received through pneumatic tube stations.
• Perform specimen collection (venipuncture, capillary puncture).
• Complete computerized registration of patient samples using Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Complete basic quality control steps and inventory management tasks.
