Job summary

Ellipse Diagnostics in Saddle Brook, NJ is seeking an Onsite Specimen Collector to join our client facility team. You will collect specimens, ensure proper documentation, and maintain specimen integrity on site, acting as the face of our lab.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and experience in specimen collection or phlebotomy is a strong plus. You will work full-time, Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with hourly pay between $19 and $24.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in specimen collection or medical/clinical setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or experience is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working with patients in behavioral health settings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Collect urine and oral fluid specimens according to lab protocols.
• Verify patient identity and complete requisitions, labels, and orders.
• Maintain chain of custody and specimen integrity from collection to pickup.
• Package, store and prepare specimens for courier transport.
• Enter collection data into LIS or client portal.
• Keep collection supplies stocked and reorder inventory as needed.
• Communicate with client staff and lab team to resolve issues quickly.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control standards.
• Treat patients with professionalism, discretion, and respect.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Onsite Specimen Collector to work at one of our client facilities in Saddle Brook, NJ. You’ll be the face of our laboratory on site, collecting patient specimens, keeping documentation accurate, and making sure samples reach our lab in proper condition.
