Job summary

ICONMA client in Willimantic, CT is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater to join a medical research environment. The role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and draw blood specimens in a safe and accurate manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information; keep required records.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors under supervision and contribute to process improvements.
