Job Title: Phlebotomist I Floater

Duration: 3 months
Shift Timings: Monday - Friday 6:30-4:30pm (8hr shift), Floater and Saturday rotation
Responsibilities:
- The Phlebotomist I Floater represents the face of our company, engaging with patients during their health routines and providing insights into health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- Builds trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and drawing blood in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Provides coverage at multiple locations for various roles, ensuring daily activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- May be assigned to work in doctor’s offices, patient service centers, mobile or long-term care environments, or as needed based on business requirements.
- Capable of stepping in for higher-level roles and leading on-site staff, including coaching and mentoring new employees.
- Acts as a point of contact for staff and provides feedback to supervisors.
- Works with high-complexity or high-volume practices, requiring excellent phlebotomy and customer service skills.
- Handles multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum of 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
