Job Title: Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Location: Wyomissing, PA

Duration: 3 months Contract

Work Type: Onsite

Shift/Time Zone: 6 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, every other Saturday 7 AM to 12 PM

Job Description:

1. The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company to patients, whether as part of their routine health checks or for critical health decisions.
2. Draws quality blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
3. Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and drawing blood in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.
4. Provides coverage at multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities are completed accurately and on time.
5. Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
6. May be assigned to work in various settings, including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, mobile units, long-term care, or as needed.
7. Capable of stepping in for senior phlebotomists, leading onsite staff, and mentoring new employees.
8. Acts as a point of contact for staff and provides input to supervisors.
9. Works with high-complexity or high-volume practices, requiring advanced phlebotomy and customer service skills.
10. Handles multiple priorities in a high-volume environment, collaborating across departments such as Sales, Laboratory, IT, Billing, and Logistics.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• At least 3 years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors is preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry skills.
