Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to cover Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester and lower Connecticut. The shift schedule ranges from 7:30am to 4:00pm, with some half-day options.

This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits, and requires phlebotomy certification along with 6 months of experience. Your responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying requisitions, following safety guidelines, preparing samples for testing, and keeping the

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing.
• Check the test requisition or computer label to assure correctness and completeness prior to collecting sample.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
• Process specimens to prepare them for laboratory testing.
• Ensure the Patient Service Center is clean, tidy and presentable.

Location: Float Phlebotomist Covering Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester and lower Connecticut
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm; Monday to Friday and 7:30am - 1:00pm; Saturday and **** (Day Off TDB)

Full-time: Benefits Eligible

Hourly Rate: $23.50hr - $25.00/hr
