Job summary

Labcorp in Elgin, TX is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; hours may vary. The role involves blood collection, specimen processing, data entry, billing support, and traveling to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work Elgin, TX with surrounding cities Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM work hours will vary

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• At Least 21 years’ old
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
