Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital setting preferred.
  • 1+ years experience assisting patients across age groups (pediatric to geriatric).
  • Phlebotomy certification or accredited training program required if no prior LabCorp experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to travel within Greenville, TX and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient information accurately in the system.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to patients and clinicians.
  • Conduct administrative and clerical duties as needed.
  • Travel to additional sites when required; reliable transportation is essential.

LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Greenville, TX area (75401)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 6:30am to 6:30pm (overtime and rotating weekends will be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
  • 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience
Additional Job Standards:
  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Will cover sites in Greenville, TX and surrounding areas (approximate 100 + mile radius)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement *QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
