Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Elgin operations. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for various tests, enter patient data accurately, and support billing processes as needed.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred. You will travel to additional sites and enjoy a clear path for growth within Labcorp.

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work Elgin, TX with surrounding cities

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM work hours will vary

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• At least 21 years’ old
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
