ICONMA is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater for our Avon, CT client site. You will perform blood draws, prepare specimens, and maintain patient trust while following procedures. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service in a fast-paced medical testing environment.

Prior phlebotomy and data entry experience are valued. This is an on-site position with growth opportunities. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential as you coordinate with clinicians

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
• 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service setting preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure a safe, accurate collection.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform daily activities under supervision, maintain records and a professional environment.
• Assist with clinical and forensic specimen collection following established procedures.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist Floater for their Avon, CT location.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist III represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist III will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
