Job summary

Labcorp in Fort Lee, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages and support scheduling across sites.

A high school diploma or GED is required along with a phlebotomy certification or accredited training, and 1+ year of experience. You will enter patient data accurately, process billing details, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Fort Lee, NJ.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am-8:30pm and rotating Saturday/Sunday 7:00am-5:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years? old

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Pay Range:

$17.75 - $24.00 per hour

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
