Job summary

Labcorp in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will collect blood by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, process specimens and ensure accurate patient information.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent; 3 months or more phlebotomy experience, with preferred 1 year. You’ll support data entry, billing steps, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
