Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required in the employment state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, label and process specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and demonstrate technique using straight needles or butterfly needles.
• Verify orders, match requisitions, and prepare/label/centrifuge/split/freeze specimens as required.
• Package and store specimens under required temperatures and transport conditions; label accordingly.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations, attend trainings, and respond to inquiries.
