Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature controls.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate needle techniques as required.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
