Job summary

The Blood Connection is seeking a Phlebotomist to screen and collect whole blood from donors at drives in Hendersonville, NC. You will ensure donor safety, perform venipuncture, and handle post-procedure care according to SOPs and regulatory standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and excellent customer service skills. Training is provided for suitable candidates; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; on-the-job training available for suitable candidates.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service and ability to follow instructions in a regulated environment.
• Ability to work varied hours, including weekends, with potential schedule changes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Screen donors through medical history and testing results according to SOPs.
• Perform donor health screenings and venipuncture on eligible donors.
• Prepare and package units for transport/storage and provide post-phlebotomy care.
• Conduct quality control for collection equipment and document results.
• Deliver donor-friendly service and maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
• Participate in blood drives and other company events.
