Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to join our plasma donation team in a patient‑focused facility. You will guide donors through venipuncture and plasmapheresis, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to SOPs.

You will perform venipuncture, monitor donor well‑being, calibrate equipment, and document all donor information in our electronic system. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred, with at least 1 year of experience desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California).
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and donor care.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Educate donors on the donation process, policies, compensation, and the importance of plasma-based therapies.
• Greet donors and introduce them to the donation process to establish trust.
• Conduct venipuncture procedures following SOPs, including arm prep, collection volumes, restarts, and cell loss protocols.
• Monitor donor well-being during donation and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure readiness for daily operations.
• Set up and operate plasma donation machines, including alarms and shutdowns.
• Collect and label test samples, including NAT testing protocols.
• Keep the donor floor stocked with supplies and soft goods.
• Record donor data and incidents in the donor information system.
• Respond promptly to donor complaints, deferrals, or concerns.
• Support donor flow by working efficiently and flagging bottlenecks.
• Prepare the center for audits by maintaining cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
• Uphold data integrity and confidentiality for all donor information.
