Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or phlebotomy training completion.
• Phlebotomy training or certification required.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects, registers, and processes patient specimens using collection techniques and computer systems.
• Follows patient identification protocols and performs safe venipuncture and other specimen collections.
• Performs processing of specimens and ensures proper labeling and transport.
• Maintains supplies, inventory, and equipment, with attention to safety and infection control.
• Answers inquiries from patients and staff and supports quality assurance activities.
