Qualifications

• Capable of venipuncture and skin puncture collection with accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture as ordered.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Identifies patient and explains procedures to be performed.
• Follows safety guidelines and properly uses equipment.
• Obtains and labels specimens and transports to the lab.
• Prepares specimens and completes test paperwork.
• Handles incoming calls and provides information.
• Greets patients and directs them as needed.
• Schedules patient appointments as applicable.
• Obtains patient information and completes registration per policy.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains authorizations when applicable.
• Ensures data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
