Qualifications

• 6 months experience preferred (Network Float Pool).

Responsibilities

• Organizes, prioritizes, and obtains blood draw requests.
• Operates the hospital tube system to receive specimens and distribute to appropriate area; sends labels and reports.
• Receives outpatient laboratory specimens and requisitions per department policies; verifies patient identification.
• Greets visitors, patients, customers, and staff; responds to queries and forwards results.
• Oversees training of new employees and coordinates daily work assignments with supervision.
• Interfaces with nursing in the absence of the Team Leader to resolve complaints.
