Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; health/science coursework preferred.
• Training in computer basics and medical terminology preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, AMT, NCCT or equivalent).
• De-escalation training must be completed by end of orientation (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Transport laboratory specimens to and from the clinic site per procedures.
• Perform venipunctures, heel and finger sticks for testing.
• Label, preserve, and transport specimens; perform pre-test processing and clerical duties.
• Communicate results to nurses and doctors; transcribe orders as needed.
• Maintain safety and follow departmental guidelines; flexible to schedule.
