Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist/Courier to transport laboratory specimens across clinic sites and within the SRHS system. You will verify orders, perform venipunctures, and ensure proper specimen labeling, preservation, and pre-test processing.

The role requires interaction with diverse patient populations, adherence to safety guidelines, and the ability to work flexible hours. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for health/science coursework and phlebotomy

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; some college in health/science preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures, heel and finger sticks, and other specimen collections for laboratory testing.
• Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labeling, preservation, transport, and pre-test processing.
• Handle clerical duties including processing orders, computer functions, filing reports, and communicating results to nurses/doctors.
