Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in Vista, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3‑month contract with potential for permanent placement. This role involves performing blood draws, labeling, processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data, while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.

Schedule is 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend rotation. Benefits are available; travel to PSC locations may be required with mileage reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate and prepare specimens for transport per protocol.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity.
• Verify test requisitions, label accuracy, and proper storage temperatures.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
