Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract position across multiple Albany-area sites, including Castleton, Delmar, Catskill, Schenectady, and more. The role requires 2 years of phlebotomy experience, blood draws, specimen handling, and adherence to safety procedures. Schedule: Monday–Friday, with early starts around 6:30am and shifts up to 5:30pm.

Projected duration is 3 months with potential for perm. Benefits are available. Location is a float position.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label/centrifuge specimens.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Ensure specimens match requisitions and prepare for transport.
