Aufgaben

• The phlebotomist performs phlebotomy on patients and follows established laboratory policy and technique.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and assist in other laboratory function.
• Process specimens and operate Lab LIS; handle phone calls.
• Respond to requests to perform phlebotomy within established time frame.
• Accessions test requests in LIS and reference lab systems.
• Prepare samples for analysis and related tasks (centrifugation, bar coding, distribution).
• Review request forms for completion and compliance.
• Prepare phlebotomy tray with blood collection items for use.
• Participate in QA programs and interact professionally with physicians and staff.
