Diabetes & Endocrine Associates in Vero Beach, FL is seeking a phlebotomy technician to perform blood collection and processing in a clinical setting. You will collect samples via venipuncture, label specimens, and ensure proper patient identification and documentation.

You will interact with patients, explain procedures, maintain inventory, and support quality control to comply with internal and external regulations while upholding OSHA safety standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of recent related experience, 3 months practicum in clinical/hospital/lab.
• Phlebotomy Certificate or appropriate licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture with standard equipment.
• Interact with patients to obtain information, explain procedures and elicit cooperation.
• Maintain positive patient identification and record collection information.
• Process, label, and store blood samples for analysis.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies; reorder as required.
• Perform quality control to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Execute miscellaneous duties as assigned.
