Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing assigned duties, troubleshooting, training and workflow improvements.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedure to patients clearly and courteously.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts for correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and ensure proper labeling.
• Understand and comply with OSHA regulations and department trainings.
• Answer calls and relay results as needed.
