Job summary

Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center is seeking a full-time phlebotomist in Hershey, PA. You will collect blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients and manage other specimens, entering patient data into information systems and reporting bedside glucose results.

Hours are varied Monday–Friday with rotating weekends; evening/night differentials apply. We value accuracy, teamwork, and exceptional patient care in a leading academic medical center setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months phlebotomy experience required or completion of an internship through a certified training program required.
• Pass a written test with at least 80%.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens (phlebotomy) from inpatients and outpatients and receive other laboratory specimens (e.g., 24 hour urine, sputum, stool).
• Enter, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information in information systems.
• Perform and report bedside glucose testing.
