Job summary

UHS is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform proper collection and handling of specimens for hospital patients and PHP locations. The role requires friendly patient interaction, accurate reporting of results, and collaboration with reference labs and providers.

Responsibilities include timely blood draws, patient identification, requisition logging, and maintaining professional demeanor with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy Certificate program or Medical Assisting program.
• At least 6 months of active phlebotomy and specimen collection experience is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification highly desired.

Candidates must be able to assist in patient care and physical crisis intervention when necessary.
