Qualifications

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and decontaminate as required.
Collect and store specimens according to procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Ensure orders match specimen tubes and requisitions.
Label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens per test order.
Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocols.
Attend annual department trainings.
Answer phone calls and relay laboratory results.
